Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data CSV Pilot ("we", "our", "the service") collects, how it is used, and what your rights are. It reflects how the service actually works as of the date above.

1. What CSV Pilot Is

CSV Pilot is an AI-powered tool for creating, editing, converting and managing CSV files, particularly product catalogs. You can use it without creating an account.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Data you provide

When you upload a CSV file, the file contents are read by the application. When you describe products or changes in the chat, that text is processed to generate or modify product data.

2.2 Technical data

Like most web services, our servers may process basic technical information needed to serve requests, such as the IP address used to reach the site and request metadata. We also use analytics and advertising services (including Google AdSense where implemented) that may process similar data as described in Section 5.

2.3 Local preferences

Your selected interface language is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so the site can remember it. This data never leaves your browser.

3. How CSV Data Is Processed

CSV parsing and preview happen in your browser. The file contents are sent to our server only when you use a feature that requires server-side processing:

• AI generation and editing — your prompt and current product data are sent to our backend, which forwards them to third-party AI providers (LLM services) to generate or edit the data.
• Format conversion — CSV text is processed on the server in memory to convert between supported formats and returned to your browser.
• Export and validation — product data is converted to CSV in memory and returned to your browser for download.

We do not store uploaded CSV files on our servers. File contents are processed in memory and are not written to persistent storage. We do not use uploaded files to train AI models.

4. AI Providers

CSV Pilot uses third-party large language model (LLM) providers to power AI features. When you use these features, the relevant data (your prompt and product data) is transmitted to the provider in use at that time. The providers' own privacy policies apply to that transmission. We do not send unrelated files or your local preferences to AI providers.

5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We use browser localStorage to remember your selected interface language. This preference stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or to third parties.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation and, where you have consented where required, for analytics and advertising. This includes cookies set by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense and Google Analytics (where implemented). These partners may use cookies to serve and measure personalized or non-personalized ads, to understand how visitors use the site, and to improve ad relevance. You can control cookies through your browser settings — blocking or deleting them, or using private/incognito browsing. If you do not accept advertising or analytics cookies, the core CSV tool will still work. Where required by law we show a consent banner and respect your choices. We will update this policy if our use of cookies or advertising partners changes.

6. Data Retention

We do not maintain a database of user accounts or uploaded files. Data processed for a request exists in memory only for the duration of that request and is discarded afterwards. You can delete all product data at any time by reloading the page or resetting the workspace; no server-side copy remains for us to delete.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and to validate uploads (file type, size limits). We also protect against CSV formula injection when generating exports. No service is completely secure; you should not upload files containing sensitive personal data unless necessary.

8. Children's Privacy

CSV Pilot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your Rights

Because we do not store your data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our servers. You control all data in your browser and can remove it by clearing your browser data or reloading the page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
