Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data CSV Pilot ("we", "our", "the service") collects, how it is used, and what your rights are. It reflects how the service actually works as of the date above.

1. What CSV Pilot Is

CSV Pilot is an AI-powered tool for creating, editing, converting and managing CSV files, particularly product catalogs. You can use it without creating an account.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Data you provide

When you upload a CSV file, the file contents are read by the application. When you describe products or changes in the chat, that text is processed to generate or modify product data.

2.2 Technical data

Like most web services, our servers may process basic technical information needed to serve requests, such as the IP address used to reach the site and request metadata. We also use analytics and advertising services (including Google AdSense where implemented) that may process similar data as described in Section 5.

2.3 Local preferences

Your selected interface language is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so the site can remember it. This data never leaves your browser.

3. How CSV Data Is Processed

CSV parsing and preview happen in your browser. The file contents are sent to our server only when you use a feature that requires server-side processing:

• AI generation and editing — your prompt and current product data are sent to our backend, which forwards them to third-party AI providers (LLM services) to generate or edit the data.
• Format conversion — CSV text is processed on the server in memory to convert between supported formats and returned to your browser.
• Export and validation — product data is converted to CSV in memory and returned to your browser for download.

We do not store uploaded CSV files on our servers. File contents are processed in memory and are not written to persistent storage. We do not use uploaded files to train AI models.

4. AI Providers

CSV Pilot uses third-party large language model (LLM) providers to power AI features. When you use these features, the relevant data (your prompt and product data) is transmitted to the provider in use at that time. The providers' own privacy policies apply to that transmission. We do not send unrelated files or your local preferences to AI providers.

5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We use browser localStorage to remember your selected interface language and your consent choice (analytics and advertising). These preferences stay on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation and, where you have consented where required, for analytics and advertising. This includes cookies set by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, and Google Analytics measurement ID G-79SWPNJEPE. Analytics receives page paths and operational event metadata such as completed uploads, conversions, validations and exports; it does not receive CSV contents, prompts, filenames, names, email addresses or contact-message contents. These partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads and to understand how visitors use the site. CSV Pilot currently keeps Google ad personalization disabled; AdSense may serve non-personalized or limited ads depending on consent, region and Google support. You can control cookies through your browser settings — blocking or deleting them, or using private/incognito browsing. If you decline analytics and advertising cookies via “Decline” in our consent notice, the core CSV tool will still work. Where required by law we show a consent banner (“Allow analytics & ads” / “Decline”) and respect your choices. Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default through Google Consent Mode, and the default signal is initialized before Google Analytics or AdSense loads. Limited cookieless measurement signals may still be sent when storage is declined. Personalized ads remain disabled unless we later implement an appropriate Google-certified consent platform and update this policy.

6. Data Retention

We do not maintain a database of user accounts. CSV files you upload and the product data you work with in the CSV Pilot workspace are processed in memory within our own application and are not written to persistent storage on our servers — they exist only for the duration of the request and are then discarded. You can clear that workspace data at any time by reloading the page or resetting the workspace; no CSV copy remains in our own application storage to delete.

This “memory only” description applies to our own application storage. It does not cover: (a) data you choose to send to third-party AI providers when you use AI features (see Section 4), which is handled under those providers’ retention policies; (b) messages you submit via the contact page; (c) analytics and advertising data processed by Google services (see Section 5); or (d) routine infrastructure logs needed to operate and secure the service, which are kept only as long as necessary for those purposes.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and to validate uploads (file type, size limits). We also protect against CSV formula injection when generating exports. No service is completely secure; you should not upload files containing sensitive personal data unless necessary.

8. Children's Privacy

CSV Pilot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your Rights

For CSV files and product data you work with in CSV Pilot, you control the data in your browser and can remove it at any time by clearing browser data, reloading the page, or resetting the workspace — we do not keep a separate server copy of that workspace data to delete.

Other processing is not covered by that description. Contact messages you submit via the contact page are delivered to us at support@csvpilot.in; analytics and advertising data is handled by Google under Google’s policies (see Section 5); infrastructure logs are kept only as long as needed to operate the service; and data sent to AI providers when you use AI features is retained under those providers’ policies (see Section 4). To make a request about personal information you have provided to us — for example to access, correct, or delete a contact message — please contact us at support@csvpilot.in or via the contact page and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
