Catalogs by hand break the moment you scale
Hyperzod's import format is strict: one wrong header, one unquoted description, or one flat variant price and the import fails or silently shifts fields. Building 20 chicken products with sizes by hand means typing 20 rows × 15 columns plus variant cells — every row a chance to misplace a comma.
Exact header names
PRODUCT.NAME, PRODUCT.PRICE.SELLING and PRODUCT.CATEGORY must match character-for-character — guesses like Product Name fail validation.
Quoting & shifted columns
A description like "Spicy, grilled" without quotes shifts every column after it — image URLs land in the wrong field and imports report mismatched columns.
Variant deltas, not totals
Sizes are price differences over the base, not full prices. Large at +₹40 over a ₹299 base is correct; retyping ₹339 in the variant field breaks base-price updates later.

VARIANTS encoding
Each variant is name, price, cost, inventory, description, image. Price is the delta over base — e.g. XL,60.00,0.00,100,,. Descriptions with commas are quoted so the image field never shifts. Nested options allowed to two levels (three triggers a validation warning).

Limitations — honest scope
The generator drafts a catalog for review. It does not replace your judgment, and it does not bypass Hyperzod's import rules.
No image hosting
Provide public HTTPS URLs you control in PRODUCT.IMAGES or variant image fields. The tool does not upload or host images.
No live inventory sync
PRODUCT.INVENTORY is a snapshot. Real stock is managed in Hyperzod after import.
Nesting depth is 2 levels confirmed
Variants → nested options (2 levels) is confirmed. A third level triggers a validation warning — verify against a real import before relying on it.
AI guesses need review
Prices, categories or descriptions not in your prompt are inferred with confidence flags. Review highlighted cells before exporting — especially for regulated fields like tax.
Validation is not the import itself
The preview validator catches missing categories, price errors and SKU duplicates, but Hyperzod's importer has the final say. Fix errors in the grid and export again.
Language is for content, not columns
You can generate names/descriptions in 100+ languages, but the CSV headers stay exactly as Hyperzod expects — PRODUCT.NAME does not translate.

How does variant pricing with deltas work?
The product's PRODUCT.PRICE.SELLING is the base (e.g. ₹299 for size S). Each variant stores only the delta over the base — S +₹0, M +₹20, L +₹40, XL +₹60. A customer ordering XL pays ₹359 (base + delta). Change the base once and every size follows without editing each variant.
Can I edit the CSV after it is generated?
Yes, in two ways: click any cell in the preview grid to fix it directly, or send a follow-up chat message like 'Make all L sizes ₹10 cheaper' or 'Add a veg label to vegetarian items'. Re-validate and export when ready — editing after export by hand risks broken quoting.
Is my data private and what happens to uploaded files?
Your files stay private and are not sold. The preview and chat run in your session and the exported CSV is generated on demand. When you use AI features, your prompts and relevant catalog data are sent to third-party AI providers for processing as described in our Privacy Policy. Use public image URLs you control — the tool does not host images and does not sync live inventory.
What do I do with the exported file?
The exported file uses the exact Hyperzod-compatible column structure and can be imported via Hyperzod Admin → Catalogue → Import → CSV Import. If validation shows errors, fix them in the preview first — the export reflects exactly what you see in the grid.
